Why is Friday lunch double-booked?

A

It isn't. Wix sync was 14 seconds behind GetUp at 10:58. The race is now closed; the second booker got an apology email and a 10% re-book voucher.

What the booking page won't do.

We don't want to be the booking page that sends you ten emails. Here's what we refuse.

    by design

    It won't hold the customer's card.

    Payments go through Stripe / your gateway. We never see the PAN or expiry — refunds happen in your provider's console.

    It won't email a customer twice for nothing.

    Reminder cadence is opt-out-able · we don't escalate · we don't drip-market after the visit.

    It won't sync a private calendar entry.

    Personal events on a linked Google calendar are blocked out as 'busy' only — title and details stay private.

    It won't auto-blacklist a no-show.

    No-shows surface to the operator with the rate · we don't lock customers out without a human in the loop.

    It won't share a customer to another tenant.

    A customer record belongs to the venue chain that booked them. We don't cross-pollinate marketing lists.

    It won't double-book on a sync race.

    Wix and Google can lag a few seconds. The race is detected and only one booking wins — the loser gets an apology + voucher.

We used to lose two reservations a Friday to the gap between Wix and our planner. Now they're the same row. We haven't had a double-booking text in six months.
